I Make Things

I create interactive and immersive experiences that tell a story through design, art and technology. Museums, Experience Centers and Events have so far lent themselves to my quirks. Presenting some interesting projects.

Sister Nivedita Heritage Museum and Knowledge Centre

This project was at the exciting intersection of design, tech, art and culture and hence is close to my heart.

Hi, I am Mithilesh Sarode.

I find my heart in understanding the relevance of emerging technologies at the junction of objects, spaces, learning, people and culture. Having worked with organizations that are involved in culture and learning, like museums and experience centers, I have realized the significance of technology as an important tool for effective communication and learning.

I believe that a well designed technology has an ability to transform learning dramatically. With technology comes interactivity and immersion which lends us support to bring the ideas of creativity, exploration and expression to a learner which were otherwise difficult topics to implement in a learning setup.

Although I believe technology can work wonders, I grapple with a question, although philosophical, can technology be more than just a medium of instruction? What makes learning with humans more enriching than machines?… The answer is… I don’t know. I am figuring it out and I figure out a bit everyday.

I wish to grow in this field of design for a long time to come and continue to question and be questioned about its significance and contribution.
